Our 2nd day of installing was quite eventful. We were challenged with issues of placement and where objects would look most effective. But we resolved those problems by working together.
For the fragile objects, we had organised glass casses to protect them from harm.
One of the larger exhibits was set up today. These objects are old projectors donated by Neil Mansfield.
The group continued to hang the rest of the objects. These pieces worked well against the feature wall.
The beginnings of the children's corner.
Julie Baird (Dept. Director of Newcastle Regional Museum) visited us at the gallery today. She was invited in to look at what we had accomplished as a group and how our show was coming along. Julie was informed of the collectors taking part and their reasons behind the objects.
At the end of the day, we cleaned up the gallery. We removed the ladder, tool boxes and bubble wrap. this way we could see what the gallery/museum would look like for tomorrow night.
We still have a few things to complete tomorrow, but it is great to see how far we have come together as a group and co-workers.
