These exhibits are personal collections from the staff of Hunter Street TAFE. They had kindly offered these objects for the 'Artifacts Aired' exhibition. As you may see, there is no set themes to link the pieces, only the idea of collecting is shared by many people with differing interests.
Artists may collect objects such as these to be inspired. They may even incorporate them into their art works. For examples of this, the collectors' web pages will be provided.
Bruce Rowland has offered to our exhibition a series of masks. He has subtly used their design in his contemporary art works - etchings on paper, some of which can be viewed here: Cooks Hill Galleries
